TOMATO

Old German is one of the best varieties for outstanding flavor. Huge 1 1/2-2 lb. yellow fruits have a red center visible on the surface and throughout the core. Unusual boat shape.

Source: Totally Tomatoes
Days to germination: 7-10
Days to harvest: 80-100
Planting depth: 1/4"
Spacing (row/plant): 3'/24"

Heirloom

Suggestions: For easier harvesting, support plants with stakes or cages. Start seeds indoors six to eight weeks before planting outdoors. Harden off seedlings by putting them outside during the day for 1 week before transplanting. Transplant seedlings to the garden when nighttime temperatures remain above 55 degrees Farenheit. Enrich the soil before planting. Use landscape fabric to retain heat in the soil. To avoid diseases, don't plant where tomatoes or peppers have grown in the last two years. Water regularly to keep soil evenly moist.
